Overview
Marketing Development Funds (MDF) allow partners to request funds that will be used to support their future marketing activities. The funds are drawn from budgets that your organization has previously authorized. The MDF module allows you to track the amounts available and the amounts spent.
MDF is designed as a hierarchical system that supports different levels of approval.
A budget designates money for a particular marketing purpose. This procedure allows you to declare a new budget to which you will later be able to allocate funds.
Before You Begin
Log into PRM Admin with fundTask Level 3 rights.
How to Create Budgets
- Navigate to Marketing > Setup.
- Click Budgets.
- Provide the following information:
- EntityID: This is the ID number of the entity that the budget is for. You can create budgets for organizations (OrganistionID), Countries (CountryID), or regions.
- EntityTypeID: The ID number of the type for the selected entity. Enter 2 (for Organizations), 3 (Country), or 4 (Region).
- BudgetGroupID: The Budget Group to which this Budget belongs.
- Description: The name of this Budget.
- Click Add Record.
