SSO: Create Client Applications

Overview

If you are using Zift PRM as your OAuth Authorization Server, you must perform these steps to configure 3^rd-party client applications to use it.

Before You Begin

Log into PRM Admin with SSOTask Level 3 rights.

How to Create Client Applications

1. Navigate to Administration > Manage OAuth2 Client Applications. If any existing applications have been configured, they will be listed here.
2. To add a new Client Application, click Add Client.
3. In the Create New Client Application screen, provide the following information:
   • Client ID: This is auto-generated and cannot be modified.
   • Client Name: A user-friendly name for this client.
   • Redirection URL: the URL that a logged-in user will be redirected to. In a production environment, this must be a secure HTTPS site. This is information from the ClientApplication. It must be a perfect match to the string provided.
   • Scopes used by client: The data that this client is permitted to request. If necessary, you may need to create a new Scope.
   • Click Create 'Generate Client Secret' Link button. This will display a URL address which can only be viewed once. If you are not the person who is configuring the ClientApplication, you should not open this link.
4. Users can now login to the Client Application with their Zift PRM credentials (assuming the Application Server is configured). The user experience will be determined by how you have defined the login behavior.
