Appoint MDF Fund Approvers

Overview

Marketing Development Funds (MDF) allow partners to request funds that will be used to support their future marketing activities. The funds are drawn from budgets that your organization has previously authorized. The MDF module allows you to track the amounts available and the amounts spent.

MDF is designed as a hierarchical system that supports different levels of approval.

Follow the steps below to create a new Budget Group Type that you can subsequently apply to Budget Groups.

Before You Begin

• Log into PRM Admin with fundTask Level 3 rights.
• The users you wish to appoint as fund approvers must previously have been granted the Fund Request Approver licensed role.

How to Create Budget Groups

1. Navigate to Marketing > Setup.
2. Click Add New Approver.
3. Select the username from the Approver drop-down list.
4. Select the country where the user will have approver rights. You may choose to grant Approvers rights in all countries. If you select a country, they will only be able to action requests that originate in that country.
5. Set the Approval Level for this Fund Approver.
