Overview
The Budget Period determines when Budgets will be valid. Budgets are typically created when using Marketing Development Funds (MDF).
You will need to create new Budget Periods every time you want to set up budgets; in a new year, for example. Budgets cannot be created with a different duration than the Budget Period they are created for.
Before You Begin
Log into Zift PRM with adminTask Level 1 or higher rights.
How to Edit Budget Periods
- Navigate to Configure > Marketing.
- Provide the Budget Period Parameter values.

| PeriodTypeID | Drop-down List | Select from the list. This list can be edited in the Edit Budget Period Type screen. |
| Description | Text | Provide a user-friendly name for this Budget Period. |
| StartDate | Calendar Selector | The date when this budget becomes available. You can optionally specify a time. |
| EndDate | Calendar Selector | The date when this budget becomes unavailable. You can optionally specify a time. The EndDate and time must be after the StartDate and time. |
