Edit Comm Detail Type

The Edit Comm Detail Type screen allows you to define a new communication option. This allows you to accommodate conditional communication combination preferences such as only calling if email contact fails.

This screen is accessed through Configure > Communication >  Edit Comm Detail Type.

Table 1. Communication Type Definition Parameters

Label	Type	Description
CommTypeID(pk)	Number	A unique numerical identifier for this type of communication.
Name	Text	A descriptive name to help users select the right option from a list.
Description	Text	A longer description that provides more guidance about when this Communication Type is the correct choice.
ShowInCommHistory	Radio Button	When set to Yes this will include any records of this type in the Contact History (115) screen for a user.
ShowInAddComm	Radio Button	When set to Yes this will show this Communication Type as an option in the Add Communication Screen.
