Overview
Activity Scoring allows you to measurably incentivize partner behavior by defining rule-based schemes to drive motivation, track performance, and promote rewards for high achievers.
Activity Scoring can assist with the collection of vital intelligence about the overall health of your partner programs, whether the focus is on tier promotions, target-driven initiatives, or partner engagement.
Each Activity Scoring Scheme is made up of one or more rules that attribute a specific number of points to a user action. The Rules allow you to exert very fine and automated control over the user experience of the Scheme.
Before You Begin
This procedure assumes you've previously created an Activity Stream to which you will add the Rules.
How to Create Rules for Activity Scores
-
In the Scheme definition screen, click Add Rule.
-
Provide a user-friendly Score Rule Title.
-
Select the Language for this Rule.
-
[Optional] Select a filter to shorten the list of Activities in the next step.
-
Select the Activity that will contribute to the Score for this Rule.
-
Select the Scoring Method. There are two options:
-
Award score per activity: This option will award the number of points set in the Score per Activity field every time the Activity is performed until the Score Limit is reached.
Weight score based on a profile: This option will calculate the score as the selected numeric field selected from the Profile to use for weighting drop-down list multiplied by the Score weighting for activity. The Score per Activity and Score weighting for activity fields are where you define the point value for this Activity. An activity can have a positive or negative value. For example, you may want to apply negative points to undesirable activities like allowing a certification to expire. The weighting can be expressed as a decimal or whole number.
- [Optional] Specify a Score Limit. This limit allows you to restrict the number of times a user can obtain points by repeating the same action.
- [Optional] Set the Rule to Active =YES. By default, all Rules are initially inactive.
- Apply filters to limit who can receive a score from this rule. The options will vary according to the selected Activity.
- Click Save.
