Overview
As part of the Activity Stream functionality, you can send a direct message to the Activity Stream of a user. Sending a direct message means you can communicate to and collaborate with all your channel partners.
A message to the activity stream will appear in the Activity Stream of the user at the time that you specify it to be sent. They will then be able to log into their portal account and see your message.
Messages are sent directly from the Communications App.
Before You Begin
Log into PRM Admin with commTask Level 1 rights or greater.
How to Create Activity Stream Messages
- Navigate to
- Click Add.
- In the Message to Activity Stream screen, set the following parameters:
Label Type Description Title Text This is the Message Title and will appear in bold type over the main message body. Text Text This is the body text of the message you wish to send users. Maximum length is 250 characters. Related URL Text This is the URL for a page you would like message recipients to visit. Associated Image Button Click this button to add an image you would like displayed next to the message. Associate with Campaign Radio Button If desired, select a campaign to associate this message with. This helps you to manage the asset. Schedule/Send Now Radio Button You may choose to send the Activity Message immediately or schedule it to be sent at some future time.
