Overview
In the normal course of business, Organizations may make changes to their associated Locations. This includes opening, closing, and merging Locations. In some cases, it may also be necessary to delete a Location. To preserve data integrity, Zift PRM only allows a soft delete. This will remove the Location from viewing or editing through the search bar. It is possible to reverse this deletion and restore the Location if required.
Before You Begin
- You should move all Person records to another Location or deleted them.
- Log into the Zift PRM Admin site as a user with adminTask Level 1 or greater rights.
How to Delete a Location
- In the search bar, enter the Organization or Location name or ID number.
- Click the Search icon and select the appropriate record from the dropdown list.
- Click the Organization name to bring it into focus.
- In the lower panel, click More.
- Select Location List.
- Tick the check-box next to the Location you want to delete.
- From the Location Functions dropdown menu, select Delete checked locations.
- You will be shown a confirmation screen. If you are happy for the Location to be deleted, click Submit.
You will be shown a confirmation screen that the Location has been tagged for deletion.
