Overview
This task allows you to adjust the matching rules uses when creating a new Person, Location, or Organization to detect any previously created records with the same data.
This is not related to the matching rules used by the CRM Connector.
Before You Begin
Login to Zift PRM as an internal or licensed user.
How to Configure Data Matching Rules
- From PRM Admin, navigate to Configure >Administration > Edit Settings.
- Click Matching.
- Select the entity type you want to match on; Person, Location, or Organization.
- In the Multi-select List for the entity fields, select which ones to check for duplication.
- Select Update.
Any new Person, Location, or Organization will be validated against existing entities when you click Update. If the new record matches an existing one, you will be shown an error message.
If you are trying to de-duplicate, navigate to Administration > Data De-duplication (Fuzzy Rules).
