Overview
The Media Library is a repository of all media assets you have uploaded to your Zift PRM environment. The Media Library menu provides access to the Library assets, a tool for viewing and defining Media Groups, and manage asset reviews.
Creating Resources in the Media Library is how you add content to your Zift PRM sites.

How to Create Media Library Resources
This is the usual approach and will allow you to upload a single item at a time. To upload multiple items at a time, see the Bulk Upload to Media Library procedure below.

| Media Group & Resource Type | This determines the contexts in which you may use the Resource. For example, Banner Builder will only accept Banner Resources from the Banner Media Group. | |
| Source | The kind of Resource you want to create. This can be either a file or URL. If it is a file, you must next choose the file. By default, you can add the following types of file: .txt, .csv, .xls, .doc, .xlsx, .ppt, .pps, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, .mp4, .zip, .xml, .htm, .html, .pdf.
Note: If you opt to upload a self-playing ZIP file, it can hold as many files as required but must include a launcher file, typically named

| Family | Create a family to manage multiple language versions of the same Resource. For example, if you have a document in multiple languages, a Family will allow you to serve the version that is most appropriate to the user's language.

Each user will only be able to see content which corresponds to their preferred language. This may excessively restrict results if not set appropriately. |

| Language | This is the language with which to associate this Resource. If this Resource is part of a Family, this setting will be used to determine a match to the user's preferred language. This defaults to English. | |

| Retire/Review Date | This is the date when you would like to either review the Resource or remove (retire) it from visibility. | |

| Restrict to Countries | Specifies which countries users are permitted to view this Resource from. If unset, this defaults to allowing users from any country to access the Resource. | |
| Restrict to User Groups | Specifies which user groups are permitted to access this resource. If unset, all user groups can access the Resource. | |
| Email me when downloaded? | If set to Yes, you (the administrator who created the Resource) will receive an email whenever someone downloads the Resource. |

| Keywords | You can either enter keywords into the text field or select pre-defined keywords from the dropdown list. If you enter keywords into the text field, you can separate them either with a comma or with a new line. The keywords in the dropdown list are the Product SKUs from your principle catalog. You can combine both approaches. | |

- Click Save.
How to Enable Bulk Uploads to the Media Library
To complete this procedure, you will need to log in as a user with adminTask Level 3 rights.
- Navigate to Configure > Administration > Edit settings > Files.
- Set the Allow Bulk File Upload setting to Yes.
- Click Update.
Once you have completed this procedure, users will only be able to add new Resources to the Media Library using the Bulk Upload Media Library Resources procedure listed below.
How to Bulk Upload Media Library Resources
This procedure can be used to upload one or more files and must be used if your system administrator has enabled bulk uploads.
- Navigate to .

- Click Save. This will refresh to the Bulk Upload screen.
- Drag and Drop the desired files in to the grey rectangle field.
- [Optional] Repeat step 5 to include additional files.
- [Optional] Change the title for individual items if desired.
- Once you have added all desired files, click Upload.
- [Optional] Repeat with additional files.
- Click Completed to return to the Media Library home page.
