Overview
The Zift PRM Product app provides an easy-to-use platform for managing all your available products into one hierarchy of individual Products, Product Groups, Product Categories, and Catalogs. Organizing your Products into Categories and Groups will allow you to display the information on your Portal for visitors to easily browse and learn about your available Products.
Once you have created a Catalog, you can create Pricebooks that will set the price for Products. This separation allows you to display different pricing to Partners depending on Partner Type, country, and so on.
Pricebooks allow you to set different pricing for Products depending on the source of an Opportunity. This flexibility makes it possible to set a price for your distributors (Tier 1 resellers) in each country. They can download the Pricebook and modify it to reflect the Products they carry and their prices, then return it to your Partner Account Manager what user rights or groups are required? (as an email attachment). The administrator can then upload the revised Pricebook to Zift PRM so that it can be displayed to their resellers (Tier 2 resellers) as the standard Pricebook.
They can be configured manually or loaded through the CRM Connector. If you are synchronizing your Partner data through a CRM, you will only be able to synchronize a single Pricebook. By default, the synchronized Pricebook will only support data import.
Pricebooks are generally country-specific, with a separate version that reflects local currency. This ensures that Partners will only see the Pricebook that is locally appropriate. A default Pricebook can be configured to appear whenever no local Pricebook is available for a Partner's country.
