Create Courses

Overview

Zift PRM Training provides all the tools needed to create and deliver a comprehensive training program to internal staff, partners, and the public. Zift Training software can support either virtual or classroom training and allows both directed and on-demand training.

Courses allow you to group Modules together to display on the Portal as a logical training set.

Before You Begin 

Log into PRM Admin with eLearningTask Level 2 rights or greater.

How to Create Courses

1. Navigate to Training > Courses.
2. In the Courses screen, you may either choose to edit an existing Course by clicking on it in the table or create a new Course by clicking Add. Use Show Filters to restrict the list of Courses displayed.
3. In the Courses editing screen, provide values for the Course Definition Parameters.

   Table 1. Course Definition Parameters

   Parameter	Description
   Course Code	A short code to help you identify this course. This must be unique.
   Course Title	The Course name that will be displayed on the Portal. This is translate-able.
   Language	The language of this Course. This will be matched to the user's preferred language when possible.
   Course Description	A brief description of the course that will be shown to users on the Portal. This is translate-able.
   Published Date	Set the date when this Module will become visible on the Portal. Until then, it will only be visible through the Administrator site. Click on the calendar icon to select a future date if necessary. The default date is the creation date.
   Partner Type	The kind of Partner that this Course is intended for.
   Solution Area	A configurable parameter which allows you to group Courses for display on the Portal according to your business needs.
   User Level	A configurable parameter which allows you to group courses for display on the Portal according to your business needs.
   Number of Modules	How many Modules are associated with this course.
   Course Image	Upload a thumbnail to represent this Course.
   Sort Order	Set the relative ranking of this Course in Course listings. Courses with the same Sort Order value will be further ordered alphabetically.
   Training Program	Select which Training Programs to associate this Course with the default is all.
   Active	This setting works with the Published and Expiry dates to control access. In all cases, if Active is set to NO, the Module is not available. However, if Active is set to YES, the Module will only be available between the Published and Expiry dates.
   Mobile?	Specifies if this Module is configured to be displayed in the Zift PRM Mobile app.
   Who should see this course?	Specifies if this Module is configured to be displayed in the Zift PRM Mobile app.
   Course Modules	Select the Modules to include in the course by moving them using the <<and >> buttons. Only Modules that appear in the Current Modules panel will be included in the Course.

4. Click Save. You have now created a new Course that will be accessible on the Partner Portal according to the settings configured. The Course will also be listed on the Training > Courses page.
