Create Specializations

Overview

Zift PRM Training provides all the tools needed to create and deliver a comprehensive training program to internal staff, partners, and the public. Zift Training software can support either virtual or classroom training and allows both directed and on-demand training.

Specializations extend the concept of Certifications to the Organization level. They are a way of recognizing that an Organization has sufficient internal expertise to justify a higher degree of confidence from end customers.

An Organization achieves Specialized status when a number of its employees have passed the required Certifications. The Specialization is valid as long as the threshold number of current employee Certifications is met. If employees' Certifications lapse or they leave the Organization, the Organization may lose its accreditation status.

Accreditation is a common synonym of Specialization and if this term is preferred, the Translations tool allows you to make this change easily.

A Specialization is a way of recognizing training achievements at the Organizational level.

Before You Begin

Log into PRM Admin with elementTask Level 2 rights or greater.

How to Create Specializations

1. Navigate to Training > Specializations.
2. [Optional] To edit an existing Specialization, click on the hyperlinked Specialization Title in the Specializations table.
3. Click Add to open the Specialization definition screen.
4. Provide the following values:

   Label	Type	Description
   Specialization ID	Auto-generated	Unique identifier for this Specialization.
   Code	Text	A short, user-friendly code to identify this Specialization.
   Title	Text	A descriptive title that allows users to distinguish this Specialization from others.
   Description	Text	[Optional] This field allows you to describe the purpose and main characteristics of this Specialization. This can be helpful if someone needs to edit it in the future.
   Country	Drop-down List	Sets the countries or regions in which Organizations are eligible for this Specialization.
   Training Program	Drop-down List	[Optional] Associate this Specialization with a specific Training Program.

5. Click Save. You've now added a Rule to the Specialization. [Optional] Add more Rules.
6. Click Save.
