Overview
Zift PRM Training provides all the tools needed to create and deliver a comprehensive training program to internal staff, partners, and the public. Zift Training software can support either virtual or classroom training and allows both directed and on-demand training.
Training Manager is SCORM 2004 v3 compliant to enable your SCORM-based courseware to communicate start, quiz, and completion data to your Zift database.
Training is fully integrated with other Zift PRM modules, such as Communications, Events, Incentives and Report Designer.
- Communications facilitates the promotion of training programs to partners and other contacts stored within the Zift PRM database
- Event supports the delivery of classroom courses, enabling course registration, confirmation, attendance recording and scoring
- Incentive allows you to reward students with incentive bonus points if they are registered with an incentive account.
- Activities allows you to monitor and encourage training behaviors explicitly or implicitly.
Training Descriptions
Training includes a number of different modules to allow you to build up a robust and versatile training library.- Modules: These are the most basic building blocks of content in the Zift PRM Training module. They feature in all training activities.
- Courseware: Upload courseware files or links to external courseware resources.
- Registrations: Manage student enrollment in certification programs.
- Courses: Courses allow you to package Modules for self-directed training.
- Quizzes: Create question pools and rules to evaluate student understanding.
- Certifications: Person-level training accreditation.
- Specializations: Company-level training accreditation.
- Training Programs: Use Training Programs to configure separate training paths or to facilitate use by multiple training administrators.
- Reporting: Access standard Training reports.
Which version of the SCORM standard is relevant?
- SCORM 1.1 was the initial version and was never widely accepted. Some products still support it but it was not widely adopted.
- SCORM 1.2 followed on 1.1, and solved many of 1.1’s problems. It was and is the widely adopted version. As of October 2005, every major LMS continues to support it, and the majority of content vendors still produce content that meets the 1.2 specification.
- SCORM 2004 v3 (formerly known as SCORM 1.3) is the most recent release. It extends and formalizes the packaging and run-time portions of the 1.2 standard, but its key addition is the sequencing and navigation (S&N) specification. S&N allows the content Administrator to specify both the behaviour within the SCO and the behavior between the SCOs. This allows for substantially richer content interactions and huge increases in the reuse of SCOs.
Note: Zift PRM Training supports SCORM 2004 v3 excluding sequencing.
